PERMIT APPLICATION AND PROCESSING TIME:
Incomplete permit applications will be valid for 30 days, after which all permits in a "NOT SUBMITTED" status will be cancelled.
Please allow 48-72 hours to receive an e-mail response regarding the status of your permit application. Permits are not valid until approved, paid for, and issued.
Prior to applying for a permit, please review the applicaiton checklists found in the documents tab below for required submittal(s).
If all requested submittals have not been received and plan review fees have not been paid within 48 hours, the permit application will be cancelled.

In addition the City of Olympia will consider extension of existing issued building permits that may expire due to inactivity caused by Covid-19 related impact. A written request to extend such permits may be submitted to email@example.com for consideration by the Olympia Building Official or designee. The City of Olympia requires extension of permits be requested in writing and approved by the Building Official or designee before the permit expires per code requirements and the OMC.
INSPECTION REQUEST SCHEDULING:
**Inspection requests are required to be made by 5:00 PM the previous day to be on the next day's schedule. Most inspections will be conducted between the hours of 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Inspectors will be available to contact between the hours of 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

What can you do on this portal?
This application provides public access to the current status of permits and inspection requests, as well as, access to reference materials and documentation. You will need your user access code to schedule or view any inspections you have submitted.
